Most if not all Soviet watch brands released dials to commemorate the Moscow 1980 Olympic Games. One of my favorite pieces is this Raketa, featuring a striking red dial in a gold-plated Puck / UFO case, also known as “Cheburashka”. According to my observations and research, this one has correct hands and crown. The inner ring features “made in USSR” as it should. This watch also existed in a chrome-plated case.

Raketa 1980 Olympics
Beware of non-documented Olympic Games dials. A lot of dials from regular models were stamped with Olympics symbols to make a quick buck.
